WHO WE ARE

Native Black American Foundation's inception stems from a deep-seated understanding of the historical and contemporary marginalization of Native Black Americans. From discriminatory housing policies to disparities in healthcare and education, Native Black Americans continue to face entrenched barriers to opportunity and advancement. NBAF was founded on the belief that systemic change is possible through grassroots organizing, community mobilization, and strategic advocacy.

WHAT WE DO

CREATING OPPORTUNITIES FOR GROWTH, PROSPERITY, AND SOLIDARITY

The Native Black American Foundation (NBAF) is a grassroots and trailblazing nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering resilience, empowerment, and self-determination within the Native Black American community.   Through community engagement, advocacy, and educational initiatives, NBAF aim to address systemic inequalities, promote cultural preservation, and foster socioeconomic advancement within the Native Black American community. Founded in 02December2021, NBAF emerged from the collective vision of passionate individuals committed to addressing the multifaceted challenges faced by us Native Black Americans.  At NBAF, we recognize that the term "Native Black American" encompasses a diverse range of individuals with unique experiences, histories, and identities. Whether descendants of enslaved Africans, indigenous peoples, or immigrants, Native Black Americans share a common struggle against systemic racism, economic inequality, and cultural erasure. NBAF seeks to honor and uplift these diverse narratives while advocating for justice, equity, and solidarity within our community.
